Campaigns and Socail Media

Wow, how surprising is it to find out that many political figures, lawyers and the older generation are not so familiar with Social Media. I have always assumed that they were very good so social networking online because of there profession  and careers they would be all up to date with  using social media  more often. As I was reading the article, http://fgamedia.org/faculty/rdcormia/COIN83/pdf/How%20Obama%20Really%20Did%20It.pdf
I can see how Obama won many voters with people in different states. John McCain and Hilary Clinton had online websites but were not really all about  advertising their campaign  online to get voters like Obama did. As the article mentions most of the networks they had online where made but older supporters. Not like Barack Obama where he had more strategy by hiring the creator of Facebook to do some work for his campaign  by using social media. This was important  to target and  reach out to people. I think that was a smart move. I believe that social media in this generation is only going to expand. The best way to reach people for anything such as  business, schools, personal, and socially is by communicating with them through social media.Having this type of connection here in the US, just imagine how  easy it would  also be to communicate with others around the world.  Social media is an epidemic form of communicating all over the world. This has made business expand worldwide and made campaigns like Obamas be known by others internationally. Social media is a positive and great way of communicating with everyone.
